In 1997 FATCAT & FISHFACE released their first album Horrible Songs for Children, which was quickly followed by Selfish Shellfish, Dogbreath, Pretty Ugly and their 10th birthday album, Meanie.

FATCAT & FISHFACE’s cheeky style has been compared to Spike Milligan, Roald Dahl, and The Simpsons.
FATCAT & FISHFACE’s fame has spread from New Zealand to the USA where their songs air on cool kids’ radio shows in New York (Greasy Kid Stuff on Radio WFMU), and Chattanooga (Saturday Morning Cereal Bowl on Radio WAWL). FATCAT & FISHFACE’s music has won awards in New Zealand (NZ Music Awards) and the USA (Children’s Music Web).
